Syd, I’m so happy you asked me to document this time in your life. Although the session probably didn’t go as you expected, I thoroughly enjoyed getting this peak into your real life. As a mother myself I know exactly how you were feeling. Auggie was past due for a nap, even though every other day he’s happiest at that time. Your husband was on your last nerves (we’ve all been there), you were sleep deprived, and nothing went as planned. Still, these are some of my favorite photos. Your family is so authentic and real no matter who’s around, and I think that’s why these are so close to my heart. Anyway, enough words.

I hope whoever is looking enjoys and knows that even in the rough seasons, the mundane daily tasks, the thick of postpartum and motherhood, there is SO much love and beauty to be found. Look for it and it will show up right in your face.
